TO BE A LAWN - Fallon Mayanja

As a number of voices starts talking & singing to each other, an undefined shape mounts the empty pedestal. The voices seem to steer the shape. Together they try out different forms. The shape slowly becomes a new monument, dedicated to all unheard sounds & speeches.

Fallon Mayanja’s sound creation"Black is everything beyond the sun” merges the voices of actors, singers and activists. In her bodily responses to these voices, a new space of resistance & storytelling slowly unfolds.
